SINGLE MODE COUPLERS
AOFR's fused biconic taper coupler technology and advanced production techniques make for consistent high-performance couplers that are designed for the end users' specific applications. AOFR's unique manufacturing process does not introduce a water absorption peak at 1383nm allowing true wideband operation.
A variety of standard coupler packages, as well as pigtail options and connectorization are available, if required. Non-standard devices can be supplied upon request. All AOFR couplers conform to stringent environmental and mechanical standards to give high reliability for a variety of field applications.
Dual and Single Window Couplers and Taps
AOFR's Duals Window (Wideband) and Single Window (Wavelength Flattened) fused biconic taper coupler use advanced production techniques that make for consistent high-performance devices that are designed for the end users' specific applications. Dual Window devices are specified over the entire 1260nm - 1580nm wavelength range while the Single Window devices offer lower insertion loss and wavelength dependant loss over the 1260nm - 1360nm or 1430nm - 1580nm wavelength ranges.

Monolithic 1x3 and 1x4 Splitters
AOFR's single mode monolithic 1x3 and 1x4 passive optical couplers are manufactured using AOFR's proven fused biconic taper process, resulting in a very compact, highly reliable and cost competitive device that complies with Telcordia specifications for fiber optic branching components. The Dual Window devices are ideal for use in passive distribution networks and operating in the 1310 nm and/or 1550 nm windows.
AOFR's unique manufacturing process allows true wideband operation with no water absorption peak at 1383nm. Both wideband and wavelength flattened versions are available.

High Performance Couplers and Taps
AOFR offers a series of splitters and tap couplers optimized for extremely high performance in telecommunication networks and in OEM applications such as EDFA's and Raman Amplifiers. Flattened wavelength response, low excess loss and low polarization dependant loss (PDL) allow for superior performance in the S, C, L and CL bands.

1xN and 2xN Splitters
AOFR's family of 1xN and 2xN optical splitters are prestructured trees, manufactured from AOFR's high performance FBT couplers. They are designed for very low insertion loss and high uniformity, making these devices ideal for use as splitters in Passive Optical Networks (PONs) in Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and Fiber to the Curb (FTTC) architectures.

Standard product is available with equal splitting, however, non-equal splitting can be customized to suit specific applications. Manufactured to Telcordia 1209 and 1221 guidelines these bidirectional devices are available in standard, customized or customer supplied packaging with or without connectors.
